25 March 2020.

Did you know that approximately 12 million women throughout the U.S. (ages 12-52) are currently living under the poverty line and lack access to sanitary menstrual products such as pads? In the United States, menstrual hygiene products are considered "non-essential goods" and, therefore, are subject to a "luxury tax". This system has resulted in the phenomena of period poverty where young girls and women across the country are unable to afford safe and sanitary means of menstrual hygiene care. This basic human right should never be questioned as such or denied.
